I understand how important it is to give a loved one a beautiful, special send off. I can sing at any point during a funeral service and provide a bespoke service, customised especially for you and your family.

 

​Crematorium service: As well as being a classically trained soprano with a BMus (distinction) in Voice, I am also a certified funeral celebrant. This means I truly understand all the elements of a funeral service including the structure of a crematorium or non-religious funeral, allowing me to help guide you through the process of choosing music and the appropriate points that a song or songs may be sung.  I will liase with your celebrant, funeral director and the crematorium to remove any additional worries from you and your family. As a professional speaker and voice lecturer and coach I am also happy to deliver a special reading or poem.

 

Non-religious services usually have no restrictions about the songs that can be performed, meaning you can choose any song that holds a special place for your loved one, you or your family. Please see a sample song list below of some beautiful funeral songs.  I am also happy to learn songs that are special to you as long as I am able to source appropriate music to accompany me.

Cemetery:  My portable small PA is completely mains power free meaning I can set up music and microphone in any location.  If you would like music and singing at the graveside for the burial or internment then I can provide this hassle free. I can also sing completely acapella if this is what you would prefer.

Cantor for Catholic or other religious service: Being a classically trained singer and musician means I can sing classical Arias, Hymns, Requiems & Gospel acclamations. I work regularly with organists and pianists and will liaise with them prior to the service to discuss all the musical requirements for the day. I can help advise on hymns and musical choices and help guide you through the usual structure of the Funeral mass and appropriate music for each part.  Please see a sample Catholic Funeral service below with some hymn and song choices for each part. For Chapels that perhaps don’t have a resident organist or director of music I can arrange an organist or pianist for you*.

*Organists and pianists will have their own separate fees which will be added to the quoted fee.
